Teachers’ Day

Today’s the last day of term 3, and school ended with a mini Teachers’ Day celebration. The staff room, just like any other past Teachers’ Day eve, was packed with students looking for their teachers to give cards and gifts.

Here, I would like to thank my students, namely from 1P, 1T, 1L ,2L, SNSB and the other students who I’ve taught in previous years, for the cards and presents. I appreciate all the thanks and appreciation that you’ve written in the cards, and will continue to improve myself as a teacher. :)

Oh, I was really amused when reading the card from 1L. Lots of funny comments from several students. There’s one comment which meant something along this line:  "Mr Lin, do you manicure your fingernails? They’re beautiful!"   Hmm.. emoticon

Haha, have a good 1 week break! :D

Army Half Marathon 2008

Hey peeps! Haha, it’s my first post of August, and it’s already more than three-quarters of the month gone. Maybe I’m getting lazy, or that I’m just not motivated to blog so often anymore. How interesting can a teacher’s life be? heh.

Anyway, I just got back hours ago from the annual Army Half Marathon. I did this in 1 hr 13 min net time last year, but I was aiming to do a 1.5 hours this time round, since I didn’t have much preparation prior to this 21 km run.

Although I did eventually complete the run slower (within my target of net time 1 hr 22 min) than last year’s, I guess I enjoyed today’s run more. Reasons being the weather was much cooler (without getting baked by the sun), and I had my good buddy Boon Thong to accompany me throughout the gruelling 21 km. Thanks man, brother. ;)

And what’s better than having a sumptuous meal after a long distance run? Hehe^^

BBQ spare ribs at New York ๆ. Super big portion!

Oh, and this is the finisher’s medal. Dedicated to my girlfriend. emoticon
