Thoughts of the Week
It has been a rather tiring week, but there are many things that happened in the past few days that are worth remembering and mentioning. These are certainly positive events that will encourage and motivate me to work harder.
Below is the list of events that I would like to commend, with no particular order of preference.
1. When I gave out the math common test papers to the hopeful class, a couple of students came up to me and told me that I’ve marked them correctly even though they got the wrong answers. Thank you for pointing out the mistakes, and I respect you for displaying such honesty and integrity.
2. My 4 class monitors took the initiative to implement a plan and a set of rules to minimize undesirable behaviours in class during lessons, in hope to make the classroom a more conducive environment to study in. Thanks for stepping up and leading the class!
3. 1 Hope! I was very pleased with your behaviour in class yesterday. Although I did not give any instructions to you all, except to tell you that two other teachers will be coming into class, you all behaved very well and cooperated when I asked for volunteers or responses from the class. Keep it up!
4. To my form class, you all have done it again! Thanks for keeping a clean sheet by passing the math common test with flying colours! The class generally did better than the last time round, with a handful of full markers! There are also quite a number of you improving significantly from the last test. I hope that you girls will continue to stay motivated and help me keep a clean record of 0 failure cases!
5. And to end off the week, Leh Lin’s mum had bought a cake and made some nice jelly to celebrate the birthdays of 3 girls in the month of March. I’m sure all of you enjoyed the mini-celebration. And again, thanks for those who helped to clear up the classroom after the celebration.
I guess that’s about all for now. Workload is getting heavier, and assignments and tests may have affected your mood. But take it positively and you will be able to manage. On a more positive note, March holidays are approaching! Hang in there!
